Umeleckoprumyslove museum v Praze v ceskem i mezinarodnim kontextu shromazduje, zpracovava a uchovava minulost a soucasnost umeleckeho remesla, uziteho umeni a designu pro budoucnost. Veri ve spojeni uzitku s kvalitou a krasou, chce byt inspiraci, poucenim i zazitkem.
Umeleckoprumyslova skola v Praze (UPS) byla zalozena v duchu ideji Gottfrieda Sempera v roce 1885 a v dobe sveho vzniku byla prvni a jedinou statni umeleckou skolou v Cechach. Budova byla vystavena v letech 1882–1885 podle projektu Frantiska Schmoranze ml. a Jana Machytky.
Phyllis and Biliana met at the Clayhouse in Santa Monica, California in 2000. Although we came from very different backgrounds, Biliana from Bulgaria and Phyllis from Los Angeles, and are a generation apart, there was an immediate bonding. Our friendship and mutual respect grew into an ideal partnership.

Nepřerušená tradice pořádání LKP jako ojedinělé venkovní prezentace keramických plastik začala roku 1993. Výstava exteriérových objektů se z tradičního místa klášterní zahrady v Bechyni přesunula v roce 2006 do parku středočeského muzea v Roztokách u Prahy.
